Abstract :

This article is a study on the effects of radiation and chemical reaction, on unsteady free convection flow past an impulsively started vertical porous plate with variable massdiffusion, where the fluid and the plate are considered to be rotating in the presence of transversely applied magnetic field. The equations governing the flow are solved by usual Laplace transform technique. The expressions for velocity, temperature and concentration are obtained. With the aid of the above expressions the quantities for skin friction, rate of heat transfer and rate of mass transfer are also derived. The effects of various physical parameters on the above quantities are studied through graphs and the results are discussed.
