MORPHOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF SUB BASINS OF BOLI PATHRALA WATERSHED IN LOWER SHIWALIK HILLS, INDIA
Vipin Kumar
Abstract :
Rivers are dynamic and increasingly important part of the physical environment, and the geomorphic regions have been made by the drainage system pattern, texture, density etc. Basin morphometry is one of the factor controlling river regimes. Morphometric studies are related to the quantitative description of the basin geometry. The purpose of present study is to assess the drainage characteristics of Boli–Pathrala watershed using the topographical maps on a scale of 1:50000.
